Why Is the U.S. Spying on China?

by
The federal government’s arrest of former CIA agent Jerry Chun Shing Lee for allegedly spying for China confirms, once again, that for the U.S. national-security branch of the federal government, the Cold War never ended. Yesterday, the New York Times reported that Lee is suspected of having revealed the existence to Chinese authorities of Chinese citizens who were serving as spies for the U.S. national-security establishment. Those Chinese citizens, not surprisingly, were subsequently executed by Chinese officials for serving as spies for the U.S. government. Wait a minute! Forgive me for asking a question that it doesn’t even occur to the mainstream media to ask: What in the world is the U.S. government doing spying on China? I thought the Cold War was over. I thought that it ended in 1989. I thought China was supposed to be a friend of the United States. Why is the U.S. government hiring Chinese citizens to spy on their own government? (Perhaps ...

Help FFF Strive for a Free Society

by
I grew up as a Democrat in Laredo, Texas. I campaigned for John Kennedy when I was in the fifth grade. My dad took me to a political barbecue at the LBJ ranch, where I personally met Lyndon Johnson. As a local representative of Lady Bird Johnson’s beautify America campaign, I visited the White House. In 1975, I returned to my hometown of Laredo, Texas, to practice law in partnership with my father. I was still a Democrat, a liberal one. Even though I had graduated from The Virginia Military Institute and had been commissioned as an infantry officer, I had turned against the Vietnam War in 1970 during my third year at VMI. Having grown up in one of the poorest cities in the United States, I believed in Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society. I believed that a principal role of government in society was to take care of people, especially the poor and downtrodden. ...

The film focuses on private researchers during the aftermath of the JFK assassination who have questioned and investigated the official narrative put out by the Warren Commission and the Washington, D.C., establishment. According to ...

Russia: Our New (and Old) Official Enemy

by
Robert Mueller’s investigation of the Trump administration confirms the overarching power of the national-security establishment section of the federal government and what happens when a president bucks that power. At the center of the controversy is Russia, which the Pentagon and the CIA and their assets and acolytes in the mainstream press and Washington, D.C., establishment, have deemed to be ...

The Extra-Legal Backstop for a Dangerous President

by
The military in Zimbabwe announced yesterday that it had arrested the country’s president, Robert Mugabe. While a military spokesman denied that a military takeover was underway, all signs indicate that he is lying. The president’s whereabouts are unknown, military checkpoints have been established on streets in the capital, tanks have been seen near the capital, and the military has ...
