Freedom of Conscience

by
Libertarian philosopher and historian George H. Smith (1949–2022), in his collection of essays titled Freethought and Freedom, incisively remarked that “without freedom of conscience no other freedoms are possible.” It is my contention that freedom of conscience is under attack right now — in the third decade of the twenty-first century — more so than at any other time in history. Freedom of conscience is not mentioned in the U.S. Constitution. The closest thing to it is found in the First Amendment, which reads: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” The “establishment” and “free exercise” clauses of the First Amendment are generally thought of as protecting the freedom of religion, which is sometimes identified with the freedom of conscience. Is Trump Tucker Carlson’s JFK Assassination Source?

by
On December 15, 2022, Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson delivered a monologue stating his conviction that the CIA was involved in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The presentation was remarkable given that that sort of thing is never found in the mainstream media. As most everyone knows, the mainstream media avoids the Kennedy assassination like the plague.  Carlson’s presentation motivated Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to issue the following highly dangerous tweet: “The most courageous newscast in 60 years. The CIA’s murder of my uncle was a successful coup d'état from which our democracy has never recovered. @TuckerCarlson.” Carlson made his presentation in the context of the CIA’s continued steadfast refusal to disclose thousands of its assassination-related records to the American people, along with President Biden’s decision to go along with the CIA’s decision. These are records that the CIA was mandated to release to the American people by the JFK Records Act, which was enacted ...

I Am Still Not Nostradamus!

by
On October 23, 2017, I wrote an article entitled “I Predict Trump Will Continue the CIA’s JFK Assassination Cover-Up." My prediction turned out to be true. Trump extended the JFK cover-up until October 26, 2021.  On October 24, 2021, I wrote an article entitled “Biden Will Continue the JFK Cover-Up." My prediction turned out to be true. On October 26, 2021, Biden extended the JFK cover-up until December 15, 2022. On September 8, 2022, I wrote an article entitled “My Prediction on the CIA’s Secret Assassination Files," in which I went out on a limb and predicted that President Biden would, once again, on December 15, 2022, extend the time for secrecy for the CIA’s 60-year-old records relating to the Kennedy assassination.  Then, the following month — on October 21, 2022 — I wrote an article entitled “I Am Not Nostradamus!” I repeated my September 8, 2022, ...

Why the JFK Assassination Should Matter to Everyone, Part 2

by
Part 1 | Part 2 When I finished reading Douglas Horne’s book Inside the Assassination Records Review Board, I knew that the Kennedy assassination could no longer legitimately be considered a “conspiracy theory.” Horne’s book pushed the assassination over the line by establishing beyond a reasonable doubt that the November 22, 1963, assassination was, in fact, a regime-change operation ...
