The Russian Obsession Goes Back Decades

by
Just consider the accusations that have been leveled at the president: He has betrayed the Constitution, which he swore to uphold. He has committed treason by befriending Russia and other enemies of America. He has subjugated America’s interests to Moscow. He has been caught in fantastic lies to the American people, including personal ones, like his previous marriage and divorce. President Donald Trump? No, President John F. Kennedy. What lots of Americans don’t realize, because it was kept secret from them for so long, is that what Trump has been enduring from the national-security establishment, the mainstream press, and the American right-wing for his outreach to, or “collusion with,” Russia pales compared to what Kennedy had to endure for committing the heinous “crime” of reaching out to Russia and the rest of the Soviet Union in a spirit of peace and friendship. They hated him for it. They abused him. They insulted him. They belittled him. They called him naïve. They said he ...

The Secret Service’s Obstruction of Justice in the JFK Case

by
All the hoopla over President Trump’s “obstruction of justice” over his firing of former FBI Director James Comey Jr. reminds me of the Secret Service’s obstruction of justice relating to the JFK assassination, which, for some reason, failed to produce even a murmur of objection from the mainstream media. The reason I put “obstruction of justice” in Trump’s case in quotation marks is because firing a FBI director does not, in and of itself, constitute the crime of obstruction of justice. The reason I don’t put quotation marks around obstruction of justice with respect to what the Secret Service did is because its actions constituted, without a doubt, the actual crime of obstruction of justice. What did the Secret Service do to obstruct justice? It knowingly, deliberately, and intentionally destroyed official records in the JFK assassination with full knowledge that a law enacted by Congress expressly forbade the destruction of such records. The matter began in 1991 with the release of Oliver ...

On JFK and Conspiracy Theories

by
JFKfacts.org links to a 12-minute video commentary called “Conspiracy’s Grip,” which focuses on various conspiracies and conspiracy theories, including the JFK assassination. Among the people who are featured in the commentary is Jefferson Morley, a former reporter for the Washington Post who runs the JFK Facts website and who will be one of the speakers at our upcoming conference “The National Security State and JFK.” Morley is the author of FFF’s bestselling ebook CIA & JFK: The Secret Assassination Files; Our Man in Mexico: Winston Scott and the Hidden History of the CIA; and (upcoming in October) The Ghost: The Secret Life of CIA Spymaster James Jesus Angleton. A fascinating aspect of the video commentary is how it lumps the JFK conspiracy with a host of other conspiracies, some of which are bogus. While the commentary appears to be simply an analysis of conspiracy theories in general, I got the distinct impression that the real ...
