FFF Speaker Spotlight: Glenn Greenwald

Glenn Greenwald, who is speaking at our upcoming June 6-8 conference “Restoring the Republic 2008: Foreign Policy and Civil Liberties,” writes one of the finest political blogs on the Internet. Every day, with sharpness and clarity he brings people’s attention to the politics and consequences of the federal government’s attacks on civil liberties. He spares no one, either Democrat or Republican. Moreover, I have never seen anyone more effective in provoking responses from the powerful and influential people he exposes who are instrumental in destroying liberty in America.
A lawyer and constitutional scholar, Glenn is the author of two New York Times bestselling books — How Would a Patriot Act? (2006) and A Tragic Legacy (2007). His third book, Great American Hypocrites, is due out in April.

I am confident that his talk will be among the most insightful, informative, and entertaining at the conference. His talk is entitled “The 2008 Candidates and Civil Liberties: A New Path or More of the Same?”
The conference will be held on June 6-8 (Friday morning through Sunday night) at the Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, Virginia, one of the nicest areas of northern Virginia.
