Speaker Spotlight: Jacob Hornberger
by Jacob G. Hornberger, May 25, 2007

One week to go!

The speaker spotlight for next week’s (June 1-4) conference “Restoring the Republic: Foreign Policy and Civil Liberties” is on me! All I can tell you is that I’ll do my best to give you one heckuva good speech to wrap up the conference.

But I should also add what a big honor it is for me personally to be sharing the stage with this all-star line-up of speakers on what are clearly the two burning issues of our day — foreign policy and civil liberties. All the speakers — conservatives, liberals, and libertarians alike — are in the vanguard of an ever-growing number of people who are fighting hard to move our country in a better, more peaceful, harmonious, and freer direction.

I can’t imagine a more important time for such a conference, given the ongoing quagmire in Iraq, the everlasting “war on terror,” and the ever-increasing assaults on civil liberties.

And what more exciting time to be having such a conference, given the libertarian chords that Ron Paul is obviously striking within many Americans on foreign policy. And what more exciting pairing on Sunday night than Ron Paul and Fox News legal commentator Andrew Napolitano, who recently stated that he agrees with Ron Paul’s libertarian views? Talk about electricity on Sunday night of the conference!

And it’s going to be like that throughout the conference! With this line-up of all-star speakers, the conference is going to be one continuous bolt of electric excitement for 3 1/2 days.

And just in case our fantastic line up of dedicated, passionate, knowledgeable, and committed speakers isn’t quite enough to persuade you to come and join us, take a look at this Hyatt Regency sampler of meals, which are included in the registration price: “Friday: flank steak and pan-grilled salmon; Saturday: Roast Sirloin of Beef and Hickory Grilled Chicken; Sunday: flank steak and swordfish.

It’s still not too late to go online and search for cheap flights or just plan to get into your car for a nice drive to the beautiful Reston Town Center in Reston, Virginia, to attend one of the best, most important, most timely, and most exciting conferences of your life. All the conference details, including the complete schedule, the speaker lineup, and registration information are posted on our conference website:

We hope you will join us for this important and exciting event!
