Review of The Failure of America's Foreign Wars
by Alan Caruba
The Failure of America's Foreign Wars brings together the collected essays of historians who have a very different, very interesting, view of America's foreign policy throughout the 20th century which involved Americans in major and minor wars, all of which, the authors say, led to a reduction of freedoms Americans sought to preserve in the form of ever-growing government power over their lives. This is a provocative look at the accepted view of the wars we've fought and well worth reading.
